Awasi
Atacama Desert has long been one of my Top 5 dream holiday destinations. And I would go there tomorrow in a heartbeat, even if I couldn’t find any decent accommodations. BUT there is Awasi, and according to just about every single review posted on Internet, the place is absolutely amazing in every way.
Fo now, I am merely dreaming of Pisco Sour after a day of desert excursions…
explora Patagonia
Perhaps staying at this place triggered my obsessions with hotels. Back in 2001 I visited Argentina and Chile and I stayed at explora at the end of my holiday. It is still the most memorable hotel I have ever been to.
The picture doesn’t do justice (pretty good though) to the actual hotel and the national park, so all I can say is “visit there!”. I never knew that there was such an incredible place existing on Earth until I went there.
